On Wednesday at around 11:00 am, Diana and I went in for our weekly visit. After noticing that Diana's hands, feet, and face were very swollen and that her blood pressure was much higher than normal, the doctor (Tsaltas, who we recommend if you live in Knoxville) told us that Diana had preeclampsia and that she was going directly to the hospital (she did not pass "go") and that I could pick up her stuff at the apartment, which was already in a suitcase. He then let us know that the next day (Thursday) was going to be the special day via C-section.
Diana went in at 7:30 that morning and did great. Miles was already crying before they had him all of the way out. I had the video camera in one hand and the regular camera in the other. I wasn't going to bring the video camera, but the nurses encouraged me to, which now I'm very grateful because Diana doesn't remember all of it.
As of now, little Miles' birthday is by far the greatest day in my life. I am also happy that his birthday is my cousin Josh's birthday and it was my great-grandfather Ray's birthday also. He was predicted to born on February 13th, which is Diana's brother's (Bobby) birthday, but like the daily forecast on the local news, it was not so accurate.
Anyway, this is the brief history of Miles Wesley Ray. To be continued...
