The very sad hand in candle incident!

Janet, you did a great job turning off the camera before the crying started!!!

Skyping with Uncle Awesom and Aunt Katie-Cakes in NYC.

This was just before he grabbed the lit candle....ouch! He had hot wax on his little fingers and was very sad! How traumatic!

Opening Presents!Playing with his new drumset that Abuela and GrandBob got him....was a big hit. Finally one of his own!

More to come...

I know you all have been patient for quite some time now while waiting for us to post new pictures. I have plenty more to post...and of course the big 1 year birthday! Stay tuned...I promise I am working on it!

For those of you who have not seen Miles recently I will quickly update you on his "milestones". He is not walking yet, but happily walks with the help of his radio flyer. I don't have many stats to give as his one year appointment is not until next week. He is slightly picky with food. He eats most anything, but has some issues with textures. For this reason he is not really into finger foods except for cereal. He does love to eat the occasional leaf on the ground though. So I am not sure what it is about that texture he likes so much. He is a maniac on drums. He could probably play them all day if allowed to. We certainly aren't pushing them on him...he just truly loves them. He also loves to play the flute, kazoo and the occasional piano. Drums are by far the favorite though. His favorite thing to watch is The Afro Cuban Allstars live in Japan! He likes baby Einstein okay...but if music is on he can tune in for awhile. Andy is pretty excited about that. We don't watch much tv but Andy does watch a lot of music dvds...and that is quite alright with Miles! He hasn't said any true words yet...but we do say everything in Spanish and a little English. That is probably a little confusing. Don't get me wrong...he talks...it is just his own language. When he gets going the conversation is pretty hilarious. I know he believes he is really telling me something interesting.

I think that is pretty much it for now. More pictures and videos are on the way....
