Miles and I also stopped by a store to pick up matching crocs for him and his dad. Miles was very proud of having matching shoes. It was one of Andy's early B-day gifts!

Mother's Day
Had a great Mother's Day today. Luckily my parent's were in town as Andy was deep into final papers still! The best part of this day was just before Miles went to bed. We were playing in the living room and he accidentally hit me with his little bucket that is for looking at bugs. It hurt and I said, "OOOOWWW" pretty loudly! SO Miles immediately said, "sorry mommy, sorry". Then he proceeded to give me two kisses on the forehead where the boo boo was and a really sweet hug. It was very sweet.

Trouble Sleeping AGAIN...
Again tonight Miles is having a hard time sleeping. He would not sleep in his own bed last night at all...which is VERY unlike him. SO, he snuggled close with us for most of the night. Then I sneakily put him in his bed...and an hour or so later he was up again and was up bright and early this morning.
Tonight was the same as last night....refusal to go to bed. He screamed for quite some time, so I went in to try and relieve the situation. Much to his dismay, I made him lie down, and rubbed his head. I must have rubbed his head for 20 minutes or so before he finally fell asleep. Then, he tried to get comfortable again and woke himself up. He looked up at me and said, "Mommy, I want hair!" So I continued to rub his head and he fell sound asleep.
Andy was the first at attempting to get the little guy to sleep tonight. They lied down together on Miles' bean bag and read, "Curious George and the Dump Truck", one of his favorites. In this book, George gets into trouble with a dump truck. Miles responded to one of the pictures saying, "Monkey broke it. No no, monkey. Time out."
He is a sweet one...and finally asleep.

New posts
I have posted a few new things...so make sure to scroll down to the bottom and click on "older posts". Miles is up late right now with us. He must be going through a growth spurt...not sure what is going on. So I figured...why not write a little something.
Andy is up trying to finish final papers and I just finished watching desperate housewives. Miles is trying to feed his pet stuffed tiger some pretend food all the while using Andy as a climbing wall. By the way, I took Miles to the climbing gym the other day just to observe...he did not want to leave! I was very pleased. We shall return and see if he actually enjoys it.
Off to attempt to get Miles in bed...oh boy! It is steamy here, hot and rainy. Maybe that us why he won't sleep....

Sorry for the delay....
Well, once again we have failed, for many months, to update Miles' blog. He has changed so much since our last post. Actually, we have moved since this last post as well. We have decided to attempt to post something everyday on this blog...whether it is pictures or simply something Miles said or did on any given day. After all, this would be a cool journal of his life if we could just keep up with it.
So here is a short update on the little guy:
Likes:
Music ("música") is still one of Miles' past times, BUT tractors, trucks, and motorcycles have taken over. Right now he is actually asleep with two tractors and a motorcycle.
Speech:
Miles is talking quite a bit. He is already into asking a lot of questions...mostly, "What's that mommy? What's that Andy? What's that, what's that, what's that?"...until it is answered. We love these questions and we love to answer them. And yes, Miles calls Andy by his name. Occasionally he says "Daddy." It all depends on his mood. I called my dad by his first name and my dad also called his father by his first name. Must just run in the family. Miles is still learning bits of Spanish. He speaks Spanglish. He says things like, "Look Mommy, camión (truck)." Andy continues to speak to him about 90% of the time in Spanish and Diana tries to do the same.
Health:
Miles is growing like a weed. For his two-year checkup he was in the lowest quarter for weight...but 75th percentile for height. He is a little guy; however, he's healthy and happy. He still got strep throat quite often this winter. If he doesn't grow out of this by next year he may be getting his tonsils out.
Okay...now I will attempt to post some pictures that I have neglected to upload!
